La Teyssière is managed by our friend and neighbour, Brigitte, who will check you in, check you out and be there for you should you have any emergency requirements or if you need some local guidance or advice.

There is a comprehensive house-guide available to you once your booking is confirmed which should answer most of your questions about how best to take advantage of La Teyssière’s facilities.

The house will be cleaned and prepared for your arrival by Ghislaine who will also clean the house each Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Fresh linen is provided and changed each Saturday.

The garden is tended by Mattieu on when he will also mow the lawns. The pool is maintained by Michel who cleans and sterilises the pool early each Thursday or Friday morning.

Other maintenance needs are serviced on an "as required" basis.

Rentals are from Saturday to Saturday and for a minimum of one week. Check in time is 4.00.p.m. and check-out time is 10.00.a.m. Six hours are required to clean the prepare the house and you cooperation in allowing Ghislaine sufficient time to do so is crucial. No exceptions, please.

Force Majeure & The Law
We cannot accept any responsibility for compensation where performance of our obligations is hindered or prevented by reasons beyond our control or by circumstances amounting to Force Majeure nor for any failure in the supply of public services. These terms and conditions are governed in all respects by English Law and English courts only will have jurisdiction in relation to them.

A security deposit will be requested as an indemnity against loss or damage to the property, fittings, fixtures and contents as well as faxes and phone calls. Your liability is not restricted to the amount of the security deposit and it would be advisable to ensure that you are properly insured. Security deposits will normally be returned within a month though it has to be said that in ten years of renting no retention against the deposit has been made except for the use of telephone.

You must have adequate insurance cover against all risks related to accidental damage to both yourselves & the property as well as medical and emergency expenses. Your personal possessions are not covered by us unless their loss is occasioned by our own negligence.

You should also be aware that the swimming pool has no markings and its use and diving is entirely at the user's risk. We advise the monitoring of children at all times and you should verify to your own satisfaction the suitability of anything we provide in the course of the rental like hi-chairs, cots etc. The presence of animals and insects in the South of France is inevitable in the high summer months and we cannot be responsible for anything untoward in this regard.
